1. Order Cancellation
1.1 Cancellation by Customer (Before Shipping)
You may cancel your order anytime before it has been shipped.
To cancel, please use the Order History section in your Kitabwalah account or contact us immediately at contact@kitabwalah.com.
1.2 Cancellation by Kitabwalah.com
We may cancel an order for the following reasons:

Product unavailable

Incorrect product listing or pricing error

Payment failure or suspected fraudulent activity
If we cancel your order, you will be notified, and a full refund (if applicable) will be issued.
2. Refund Policy
2.1 Eligibility for Refund
You may request a refund if:

You cancelled the order before shipping

You received a wrong, damaged, or defective product
⚠️ Mandatory Video Proof
To be eligible for a refund or replacement, you must provide an uncut opening video recorded while opening the parcel.
The video must clearly:

Show the parcel from all sides
-
Show the shipping label
-
Capture the entire unboxing without cuts or pauses
Without this video, refund/replacement requests cannot be processed.
2.2 Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will NOT be provided if:

The product is used, damaged, or altered after delivery

Original packaging or invoice is missing
-
No uncut opening video is provided
-
Return request is made after the 7-day return window
-
Book condition complaints conflict with the disclosed “second-hand/pre-owned” nature

Used books, except when wrong book is delivered or the condition is far below what was promised
2.3 Refund Process
Once your refund request is approved:

Refunds will be issued to your original payment method (UPI, Bank Transfer, or Card)

Processing time: 5–7 business days

Refund timelines may extend during bank holidays or public holidays depending on your bank/payment partner
3. Return Window
Return/refund requests must be raised within 7 days of receiving the product.

4. Return Conditions
To qualify for a return:

Item must be unused and undamaged

Original packaging, invoice, and tags must be intact

Books must not have new writing, torn pages, stains, or markings
If these conditions are not met, the request may be rejected.
5. Pre-Owned / Second-Hand Books Disclaimer
Since Kitabwalah deals in pre-loved books, please note:

Minor wear, yellowing, stamps, or signs of use are normal

Condition varies from copy to copy

All books are guaranteed readable and usable unless stated otherwise
Additional Used Book Policy

Used books are non-returnable

They may only be returned if:

The wrong book is shipped, or

The quality is significantly lower than what was shown/promised

Customers may request video proof before shipment to verify book condition
6. Stationery Items Return Policy (Muzaffarpur & Patna Only)

Stationery items are eligible for return only if the wrong product is delivered

Return request must be made on the same day of delivery

Product must be unused and in original packaging
7. Exchange / Replacement
If you receive a wrong or damaged product and provide the required unboxing video, you may:
